A show in Iceland, displaying old legal documents, provided the inspiration for the writing pieces ("Addendum," "Declaration," and "Proclamation"). The shape of the documents appealed to me but their purpose, how they bound individuals together as legal agreements, provided an even stronger inspiration. I felt compelled to translate the original form into a modern artistic expression, where the form and the purpose survived an abstraction of the actual content.

The forth piece "Contemplations" is inspired by two hand made ceramic buttons, given to me by a friend, as a moving-away present. We used to have long conversations about our life and our art, over cups of coffee and chocolate in the studio we shared, and these conversations inspired me to recreate the motive behind the buttons into a large soft textile installation. The strong parallel and perpendicular lines, refine the paths and patches that guide us in the maze of creation, they map our contemplations and lead us in expressing our ideas Thank you for the paths we took together and hope we meet at a crossroad in the maze again.
